There’s almost an obligatory need to experience dispersed camping at Quartzsite if you live fulltime in an RV.

We decided to join a gathering of ORV’s (Outdoors RV) at Quartzsite to learn from and share our experiences with other ORV owners.

It was a wonderful experience that led to some real positive outcomes later in our travels.

  7. Presence Of Law Enforcement In And Around Quartzsite
  8.
We did not see any law enforcement during our stay.

Regardless, with the masses present, I’m sure there’s an increased presence of law enforcement in and around Quartzsite.

  9. Road Conditions along Plomosa Rd, Quartzsite.
  10.
This region is the Mecca of RV’s, meaning most roads are passable for all types of RV’s.

We did not encounter any difficulties towing around this region.

When we explored the grounds a little, we didn’t notice any impassible roads.

    All vehicles should be fine.

  11. Is Quartzsite Big Rig Friendly?
  12.
Yes, Plomosa Rd (and most of Quartzsite) is big rig friendly.

You won’t find a lot of overland vehicles here, but you will see a lot of Class A’s, B’s, C’s, travel trailers, fifth wheels and truck campers.

There’s A Lot of accessible spots to choose from!

  13. Cell Strength & Carriers Around Quartzsite, AZ
  14.
We were able to pick up an excellent T-Mobile signal.

Our Open Signal app showed a dominant presence of Verizon and AT&T.

You should be good to go here with any carrier in this area. The caveat of course is the vast number of campers per antenna.

Expect slower data during peak times. I was able to get most of my work done around 5AM.

In other words, plan on doing work during the off peak times.

  15. Starlink Friendly Sky View In This Part Of AZ?
  16.
This is a great location for Starlink!

There were a lot of RVers there with Starlink claiming fantastic upload and download times.

Again, this is prime land for Starlink!

  17. Crowds Around Plomosa Rd And Quartzsite
  18.
During peak RV season, this area is packed!

That’s not to say you won’t find a spot, but bear in mind, many of the sections are “tribes” of like branded RV’s.

Many companies organize gatherings, so it would be a little awkward if you park within the confines of one of these groups with a different rig.

Also, be aware that many of the locations are Long Term Visitor Area’s (LTVA), which require a permit.

You’ll know the difference when exploring.

LTVA’s are a cool option if you want to surround yourself with a like minded community of RVers.

The fulltime RV living population is a cool group of people (maybe I’m biased).

  22.
There were no annoying insects to disrupt our stay.

We did not encounter any wildlife, unless you consider other campers to be wildlife.

  23. Dump Station And Potable Water Near Quartzsite
  24.
There are a few options around Quartzsite, but expect them to be busy.

We hauled our fresh water in and hauled our waste out of Quartzsite to Yuma.

If that’s your route, the Circle K on S Fortuna Rd in Yuma has an easily accessible dump station.

    Here are the coordinates:

    32.667135, -114.443213

You’ll find water for sale at a lot of locations both north and south of Quartzsite. There are also a ton to choose from in Yuma.

To statte the obvious, water is scarce in this region, so be prepared to pay.

We fulfilled our moral obligation to experience the Quartzsite RV life!

The vast numbers of RV’s is incredible. We launched the drone for some aerial footage and couldn’t believe the confirmation of “RV city.”

It’s a cool experience, but we like to find beautiful spots off the beaten path.

We don’t feel the need to return, but I encourage you to give Quartzsite a shot at least once!
